Father Don Piraro leads the Spiritual Book Club, an informal group of women and men who read a good spiritual book and come together to eat supper and discuss the selection.  The spring selection is Between Heaven and Mirth: Why Joy and Laughter Are the Heart of the Spiritual Life by Father James Martin, SJ.  Father Martin is a best-selling author and associate editor of America magazine.  In his new book, he writes that holy people are happy and joyful people and gives countless examples of biblical heroes and heroines and lives of the saints where this is true.  The book is bound to edify us and to make us laugh.  Between Heaven and Mirth is available at Crossroads Bookstore.  The suggested donation for the evening is $20 and includes supper.  Pre-register by calling  337-855-1232.
