Hurricane Ike made landfall on September 13, 2008 at 2:10am CDT as a Category 2 hurricane with winds of 110 mph. On Friday, September 19, 2008 Bishop Provost and other Diocese personnel surveyed the damage as the Catholic Charities Disaster Response team worked to assist with immediate needs.
