Glad Tidings
On October 5, 1980, The Most Reverend Jude Speyrer, First Bishop of Lake Charles, inaugurated G lad Tidings, the hour-long weekly program of the television ministry of the Diocese of Lake Charles. Produced by the Office of Communications of the Diocese, the show is aired from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. each Sunday on KPLC-TV. Since 1980, viewers have been able to listen to the teachings of our Bishops based on the particular readings for the day, enjoy Catholic news - local and regional as well as national and international - and, in the second half hour, interview programs - Lead Kindly Light, From the Pew, Exploring Theology, and Catholic Life Today - provide authentic Catholic information to our viewers.
Through our website we now have the ability to stream the most recent program to you as well as provide you with an archive of older shows.
We invite you to enjoy them and welcome your comments at communications@lcdiocese.org.
