Your help in their hour of need is important!

 

LAKE CHARLES - Contributions are still needed to support the efforts of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and Catholic Relief Services, the official humanitarian agency of the U.S. Catholic Church, as they respond to immediate emergency needs in Haiti for such necessities as water, food, shelter and medical care, as well as to the long term need to rebuild after widespread destruction, and to the pastoral and reconstruction needs of the Church in Haiti.
  
Catholic Relief Services is already mounting a major emergency response to this severe disaster and has committed an initial $5 million to fund relief efforts, which are likely to go on for some time. CRS has mobilized pre-positioned emergency relief supplies including: kitchen kits, hygiene kits, mosquito nets, bedding, water containers and other lifesaving assistance.
  
Contributions for Catholic Relief Services Earthquake Relief should be made payable to the Diocese of Lake Charles, 414 Iris Street, Lake Charles, LA 70601 or directly to CRS on-line at https://secure.crs.org/site/Donation2?df_id=3181&3181.donation=form1,a secure webiste.

Contributions of items such as non-perishible foodstuffs - dried beans, rice, cooking oil, etc. - can be made by contacting Friend Ships at 1019 N. First Avenue, Lake Charles, LA 70601 or call 337-433-5022.
