Bishop Provost Meets with Pope Benedict XVI |

ROME - Bishop Provost met this morning with the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, in the Pope's library with eight other bishops from Louisiana on their visit ad limina apostororum.
The Holy Father led the conversation with the bishops where each shared thoughts and reflections on various topics of importance to the Church locally, nationally, and universally. These included the New Evangelization, vocations, the rebuilding along the Gulf Coast, liturgy, religious liberty, catechesis, and the new translation of the Roman Missal.
The Holy Father imparted his blessing to the bishops and their dioceses. Bishop Provost assured the Pope of the prayers of all in the diocese for His Holiness.
