Description

The retreat is sponsored by the Diocese of Lake Charles Office of Family Life

The loss of a loved one through separation, divorce, or death is one of life’s most traumatic experiences and can result in nearly unbearable feelings of loneliness and grief.  The Beginning Experience is a weekend program to help grieving single people move from the darkness of their grief into the light of a new beginning and move into the future with renewed hope.  It helps us to deal with the natural grief process and offers an opportunity, through God, for turning the pain of loss into an experience of positive growth.  The program is presented by a team of people who have suffered the loss of a loved one and are willing to share their own experience to help others.  The only requirement for the BE weekend is you must have been widowed, separated, or divorced for a least six months.  For more information or to register call Georgette Roy at 337-824-3197.  Suggested donation is $135 per person for a shared room and $150 for a private room, including meals and lodging.
